Ingredients
  

  • 2 large sweet potatoes peeled and cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne for spice

Step 1: Prepare the Sweet Potatoes

  • Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into even-sized fries, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.

Step 2: Season the Fries

  • In a mixing bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add cayenne for spice if desired.

Step 3: Cook the Fries

    Air Fryer Option:

    • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
    • Place fries in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through.

    Oven Option:

    • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
    • Spread fries on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.

    Notes

    Soak fries in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking to remove starch and achieve maximum crispiness.
    Add cornstarch (1–2 teaspoons) for extra crunch.
