Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion finely diced
  • 1 small jalapeño finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Prepare the Avocados

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash to your desired consistency.

Add the Vegetables

  • Stir in the diced red onion, jalapeño, and tomato, mixing gently to combine.

Mix in the Cilantro and Seasoning

  • Add the chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper, stirring well.

Brighten It with Lemon Juice

  • Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and stir to incorporate.

Taste and Adjust

  • Adjust the salt, pepper, or lemon juice as needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra heat, add another jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce.
Store leftovers in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed against the guacamole to prevent browning.
Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for up to 2 days in the refrigerator.
