Equipment

  • BBQ grill or grill pan
  • Tongs
  • Basting brush
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Serving plates or bowls

Ingredients

For the Grilled Peaches

  • 4 ripe peaches halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter for brushing

Optional Toppings

  • 2 tablespoons honey for drizzling
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans toasted if desired

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Grill

  • Preheat your BBQ grill to medium heat for 5–10 minutes.
  • Tip:
  • Use indirect heat to avoid burning the fruit.

Step 2: Prep the Peaches

  • Halve and pit the peaches, then lightly brush the cut sides with olive oil or melted butter.
  • Tip:
  • Firm-ripe peaches hold up best on the grill.

Step 3: Grill the Peaches

  • Place peaches cut side down on the grill. Cook for 3–4 minutes, then flip and grill the skin side for 2–3 more minutes.
  • Tip:
  • Don't press down—let the grill marks form naturally.

Step 4: Serve With Toppings

  • Remove from the grill. Serve warm with honey, vanilla ice cream, and chopped nuts.
  • Tip:
  • Serve immediately for the best contrast of hot and cold.

Notes

For a healthier option, skip the ice cream and add yogurt or granola.
Grill ahead and serve chilled for a refreshing take.
Add mint or fresh herbs for an elevated presentation.
